Joshua Cornelius is a versatile and dedicated Director of Photography and Video Production Manager based in Gainesville, Florida, with a skill set that includes cinematography, leadership, and creative direction. His skills encompass the entire spectrum of video creation, from pre-production planning and scouting to lighting and post-production color grading.

 

Currently serving as the Video Production Manager at the University of Florida, Joshua oversees the creation and development of all multimedia content. The content includes documentaries, customer stories, internal announcements, social media promotions, product marketing, recruiting, and training. His role extends to creating the visual style, onboarding talent/employees, coordinating logistics, and collaborating with multiple departments. Joshua's knack for assembling and coaching talent, along with his strong collaboration skills, fosters trust and facilitates overall success

 

Beyond his institutional role, Joshua works as a Freelance Director of Photography for narrative and documentary projects. Here, he takes on the pivotal role of shaping the visual style of productions and understanding the creative vision to lead effectively. 

 

Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Cinematography from Full Sail University. His commitment to excellence is further exemplified by his past service in the Army National Guard as a Sergeant where he served as a team leader during Operation Enduring Freedom.
